The player does not make many informed and meaningful decisions during play. If you pick a typical genre and theme combo, that's that. You can also focus on different aspects, i.e. graphics are important for action games, but that's nothing awesome either. There is almost nothing more to the game, it's main focus is watching numbers grow. There are also small annoyances, like no control of time flow except the pause button, and the pause isn't active. The game is too easy by the way. -Julian
I wish it was little more in depth. I'd like maybe to have "teams" of employees, that way I can have a couple different projects going on at the same time. I feel like Game Studio Tycoon is lacking in some informational tools too, ideas such as checking the last couple "info posts" (I.e. "people are buying x system" "New system just came out/coming out" and maybe a table that shows which games produce good/bad results like "action" and "trivia" would probably be bad"). -Joseph
This is similar to such games as Anime Studio Story, Game Dev Story and Game Dev Tycoon. It does need work like the addition of events, etc. Seeing how the game is in the early stages of release, I really do hope it gets more content. -John
